Every family will encounter challenges in life. Nebraska Families Collaborative partners with families and our community so that children and families can thrive together. Whatever the need, our society of nearly 50 local agencies is here to help.
Nebraska Families Collaborative is a private, nonprofit partnership of Nebraska-based organizations. We are contracted by the State of Nebraska to provide child welfare and juvenile justice support to families in Douglas and Sarpy counties. After children enter the state welfare system, we engage with children and families to develop life plans that will:
- Build on child, family and community strengths so that every child is safe, healthy and in a forever family.
- Foster communities with strong families in which children are safe and thriving.
- Support families’ voice and choice.
- Allow for dignity in all aspects of families’ lives.
While all Nebraska Families Collaborative (NFC) staff members work hard to avoid conflict and offense when supporting children and families, there are times when children or families may have complaints about the support they receive. NFC requests that you first discuss your complaint with the NFC staff member who offended you and/or his supervisor. If you still feel your complaint has not been resolved after taking that step, you may file an official grievance with NFC.
Anyone can file a grievance, including youth, family members, NFC network providers or any other stakeholder. Click the links below to access the grievance form. You may also contact NFC at (402) 492-2500 to file a grievance over the phone.
